John Kubista Passes Away.

John Kubista, a pioneer and respected citizen of this county, passed away Tuesday evening at his farm west of town after several week's illness. He was born in Bohemia on May 5th, 1840, and was 76 years, 6 months and 17 days old. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational church in Pierce tomorrow (Friday) Rev. J.B. Burkhardt conducting the same. Interment will be made in Prospect View cemetery.

Obituary

John Kubista, whose death was chronicled in these columns last week, was born in the village of Dlouha-Strebora, in the county of Chrudim, Bohemia, on the 5th day of May, 1840, and was age 76 years, 6 months and 17 days. He came to the United State in 1867, locating in the state of Illinois, where he resided several years. From Illinois he went to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, where he lived a short time and then came out west and located in Dodge county. Thirty-two years ago he moved to Pierce county and lived here continuously until his death, which occurred at his farm home eight miles west of Pierce on the 21st day of November at 8:30 o'clock p.m. His death was due to Bright's disease. He was confined to the house sixteen days prior to his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Synovec May 20, 1885. To this union was born two sons, William and John, who survive. Mr. Kubista was a good citizen, sturdy and honest and honorable in all his dealings with his fellow men.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church last Friday afternoon, Rev. J. B. Burhardt having charge of the same. Appropriate music was rendered by the choir. The remains were interred in Prospect View cemetery.
