Hello: My gr-gr-grandfather is Samuel Laird. I've been researching years for him and have finally found him by accident, in a number newspapers from Canada. This is some of the information that I have found. Samuel Laird: b. June 15 1839, Co. Antrim, Ireland. d. October 23, 1917, Acton, Canada. He marry Sarah Donaldson, marriage date unknown. Sarah Donaldson: b. August 15 1856, Londonderry, Ireland. d. December 9, 1946, Wabasha, Minnesato. They came to Canada, July 11 1871. They had seven children: Jennie (Jane) Samuel (gr-grandfather) Sarah Henrietta Margaret William Ida One of the newspaper article, stated that Samuel was a member of the Irish Constabulary. He would tell everyone of his adventrouw time with them. I would love to know more of this. Where he was station and the time ranger of his service. Now I need to travel further, in finding more of him and his parents and Sarah's parents. If anyone has any information of them and their family, would be appreciated.
