Donna--what I have on John Layman m Nancy Gann is quite confused. A DNA test has proven an exact match between your 4th great-grandfather, John Layman, and my 5th great-grandfather, John Lemon/Lemmon, but I have not been able to find out how they are related. I also have had info from Earl Laymon, but it is old and quite convoluted. I show that John Lehman/Layman b c1769/1770 PA d 1849 probably in Hamilton Co TN m Nancy Gann b (no one seems to have a good date) d aft 1830 probably Hamilton Co TN--had children: John Thomas Lemons b 1792 Washington Co TN d unknown m Rebecca Gann; Nathan Lemons b 1798 Washington Co TN m Margaret; Isaac Lehman b 1800/10 d bfr 1840 m Mary Jane Reynolds. If you have updated info on John and Nancy Gann Layman's family I'd love to have it. :-) Kelle
