Obituary taken from the 'Christian Advocate and Journal', dated March 10, 1864. SYLVESTER LENT died in Putnam Valley, N.Y., Dec. 29, aged 54. In 1860 he sought and found the Saviour and united with the M.E. Church in Oregon. He lived a consistent Christian life, and was ever ready to witness for Jesus, who rescued him from sin and death.
