Interestingly, I come from a David Linton, b. 1855 in Ireland who married Margaret McCracken abt 1878 in PA. They had five children: Robert, Jim, Sam, Margaret (Peggy) and Nettie. I find it interesting that the names David and Sam repeat. I wonder if we are somehow related? Have you any further information? My mother is Marcia Linton, her father: Robert, his father: Robert, and his father: David. It looks like we may be related on the other side of the "pond" so to speak.
