Hi. I am not doing research on the Maddra family but I have found this name while doing my own research in Chesterfield County, VA. I am pretty sure there are still members of this family living in Chesterfield County today primarily in the Matoaca-Ettrick area near Petersburg. I know I have found the name in the various Census and court records I have checked. Hope this will help someone out there. Lucy T.
