Looking for any information on James McCorkle, do not have a middle name, born in 1783 in Rowan Co. N.C. married to a Dorcus McIntyre in 1812 in Mecklenburg N.C. Had six children, Jane, Rachel, John S., Ann, James Alexander, Sarah. Moved to Gibson Co. Ind. in 1832 died 1847 in Evansville Ind. James Alexander would be my great-great grandfather. James Alexander was born in Evansville, Ind. in 1834, married a Elizabeth C. Stewart in 1860, died in 1893 at Calvin ILL. White Co. was hit by a train, beleived to be dead before train hit him. Any help you can give me would be great, picking up where my brother left off.
