My GGGG Grandfather HUGH McAVOY was born c 1771 place unknown, occupation unknown. He was tried at Liverpool, UK in 1800, sentenced to 7 years transportation to Australia where he arrived on 11 March, 1803. He married MARY PALMER nee Babbagein Australia. They had 4 children, Patrick, Hugh Jnr. Mary and Sarah. I am descended from Sarah who married Christopher CRANE in 1822. In spite of extensive enquiries, I have been unable to learn any details about his exact date & place of birth, occupation or crime. Any information would be greatle appreciated. Neville Lines
