hi - I'm sorry, but he's not in my family tree. I did some research and results are posted below. When I began my search, I had only my father's brother's name, and his parents name. But now I have 4000 ancestors/family members in my tree. So don't give up. If you know where he was born, that's the beginning. Then you can get all kinds of records. If your parents divorced, there must have been paperwork with his social security number and exact b'date. You can use it. You can also use your Mother's information to search for marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc. Once you get those tidbits of info, you can find a lot of information. For example, if your father was born in LA, there may still be relatives. In my own search, I connected with someone who had the complete Copeland genealogy back to England in the 1600s. Then I was able to research my grandmother McKays back 1000 years. But the true joy was connecting with the descendants of my grandfather's 10 brothers and my grandmother's 4 brothers. They had the wealth - family photos. That gives you such a feeling of connection. Good luck. Next time, if you post a message, you can give it the title "Albert McKay b. about Dec 1912 - need info".
