Michelle, My mother was William Ottis McNatt’s second wife, her name was Alberta Stull and they were married October 6th of 1960. I was born the following year. I had always been told that I was named after his Aunt Lula, who raised him after he was orphaned. I was also told that my middle name (Mage) was given by my father by taking the initials of his two daughters from his first marriage (Mary Alice and Gladys Evelyn) and creating it to honor them (M.A.G.E.) My mother saved some of the documents that belonged to my dad, to include, the marriage certificate between your grandmother & grandfather, Mary Jo Hughes and William Ottis McNatt (14 October 1944). I also have their divorce decree dated 11 August 1960 which gives him custody of my two stepsisters (and your mom and aunt). I was also told (I have no proof) by my mom that I have Indian blood from both sides of my family. I also have a copy of a warranty dead that was signed by Dorothy F. Hankins, S.M. Hankins, and Leila Whiddens regarding property received by my father (not sure what ever happened to it). I used to have the funeral registry - and it may still be around the house somewhere - for my dad's death. Mom wrote in the family bible (one she started after he died) that dad died on April 21, 1962 and that he was born on 21 May 1910. He died before I was a year old. I also have a picture of him in uniform. While this doesn't help with your search on Seminole ancestry, I hope it corrects or updates your family tree a bit. You did not say, but I would be interested in knowing if my stepsisters are still alive - I hope they are even though I don't remember meeting them. If they want their mom's marriage certificate and divorce decree to my dad, I will be happy to mail them to them. Lula Mage Chase Your step-aunt
