Hi! I have been researching the McSween's, A book was published in 1986 entitled " To The Hill Of Boisdale, in this book is your complete heritage. This book is out of publication now and in high demand. I am lucky enough to have a copy. A Hugh Mc Sween brought his family to Cape Breton on the Ship the William Tell in 1817.One of Hugh's sons was named James, who had a son Murdock, who had a son Hugh Malcolm,he married Jessie Nicholson, they had a daughter Catherine. It does not say who she married only that she settled in Toronto. The book even mentions the land they settled on, Bouladerie is mentioned. This information will take you back to the 1700's in Scotland. You would have to read the secion on the McSween's to know that this is your ancestery. E-mail me and we can make arrangements for a copy of those pages to be sent to you.
