«i»Jan. 13, 1922 - Nov. 3, 2001 «/i»HANNIBAL - Theodore A. (Ted) Lehenbauer, 79, of Hannibal, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal. Pastor Richard Ingmire will officiate. Burial, with full military rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55, will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Friday at the church. Mr. Lehenbauer was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Hannibal to Ludwig Ferdinand and Freida Christine Bareis Lehenbauer. He was married to Jeanette F. Sughru on April 3, 1943. She preceded him in death Nov. 23, 2000. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Fibelkorn of Clairmont, Calif.; one brother, Al Lehenbauer of Hannibal; five grandchildren, Phillip Fibelkorn, Stephen Fibelkorn, Paul Fibelkorn, Jennifer McEwen and Christine Tucker; and eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to include as a survivor, one son-in-law, the Rev. John Fibelkorn of Clairmont, Calif. Mr. Lehenbauer was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during World War II. He retired as an optician with Hannibal Optical Co. In 1968, he studied for the Lutheran Lay Ministry and served the congregations of Des Peres, Dighton, Kan., and Hugoton, Kan. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Sunday School. Pallbearers will be Phillip Fibelkorn, Stephen Fibelkorn, Paul Fibelkorn, Darren Tucker, Dana Ruhl and Todd Bridgeman.
