Yvonne, You may do better attempting to get this information from U.S. Department of Air Force sources. Another thought. There is a museum (with a supporting organization) in the Savannah, Georgia area devoted to preserving the story of the USAF 8th Air Force. The name I recall is "The Fighting 8th". They surely have a web site. If not, the Savannah Chamber of Commerce does have one and they could put you in touch with the right folks. Sometimes DoD and DoAF personnel get a bit stuffy about inquiries from people who are not blood relatives. Frank Nagy, who never forgets about those beautiful young men who went off to war so long ago and never returned.
