Hi Chas.
We have traded emails before, eons ago, on another Kentucky family line. This family is going to be in two postings. The brother and sisters of Mary Sally will be next. Any questions or such, please ask. Linda Julius

Nally family ~
Mary Sarah "Sally" Nally was born in October 1862 in Washington Co., KY , and died 19 September, 1934 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. Her death certificate gives her age as 50, with a question mark. She was definitely not 50 years of age [making her birth year about 1883/1884]. She was buried in Springfield, Washington Co., KY, probably in St. Rose Cemetery, but if not there, in St. Dominic Cem.(the smaller and newer of the two). Mary Sally was the daughter of Stephen Theodore Nally and Ann Elizabeth Orkis, of Washington County.
As you know, Mary Sally married first Robert Bone/Boone, 18 January, 1881, and had seven children: Annie E., Henry Theodore, Florence E., Mary O., Robert Lee [he went by Lee], Alice M., and Mary B. I don't know exactly when Robert died, but it was between March, 1892 and June, 1900,
as "Sallie Bone" is shown as the head of the home in the 1900 census.
Mary Sally married second, her boarder, Robert Kent McPherson, about 1901 or 1902, a man 15 years younger. Kent was born 10 January, 1878, the son of Logan abd Bell McPherson of Washington County. In the 1900 census, Kent is found on June 6th in the home of his parents, but by June 20th, he is found as a boarder in the home of "Sallie Bone". Mary Sally and Kent's only documented child, Joseph, was born 5 February, 1903 in Washington Co.
By the 1920 cenus, all of the Bone/Boone children are out of the home, leaving only R.K. McPherson, age 48, Mary, age 60, and Joe, their son, age 16, in the home. They are surrounded by other family members, although no Boones. By 1830, the family has moved to Louisville, and the son, Joseph, is now head of the house. Mary has, again, played with her age, saying she is now 65, and she married for the first time at age 36. After Mary Sally's death in 1934, Kent continues to live with his son, but is admitted to Waverly Hills Sanitarium, suffering from tuberculosis, and dies on 18 October, 1938. He is buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Louisville. The son, Joseph McPherson, died a two months before his father, on 20 August, 1938, and is buried in Memorial Cemetery, Louisville.
Stephen Theodore Nally was born August, 1842 in Marion County, Kentucky, died 12 October, 1923 in Washington County, son of Stephen Theodore Nally [b. 1792-1795 in Maryland, d. between July , 1870 and Sept, 1874 in Nelson Co. KY.; son of Barney /Barnabas Nally and Cloe James.] and
Mary Ann "Polly" Burch [b. 1797-1798 in KY, d. between 5 Sept. 1874 and 12 October, 1874 in Nelson County, daughter of Henry Burch and Susanna Suite.]
Ann Elizabeth Orkis (many spellings), born May, 1846 in Washington Co., KY, died 16 August, 1922 in Washington Co., daughter of Solomon Wilson/Wilkerson Orkis [b. 1821 in Nelson Co., d. after July, 1862 in Washington Co.; son of John(?) Henry Ortkies and RuthAnn C. Gill] and Susan Mary Buckman, born 1829 in Washington Co., died November, 1869 in Washington Co.; daughter of Henry Buckman and Anna Simms.
