Transylvania Heritage Day moving to American Legion

Due to rapidly expanding community support and involvement, resulting in far greater attendance, the Transylvania Heritage Day celebration on August 6 has quickly outgrown St. Timothy United Methodist Church. Space for exhibits and displays, entertainment, and for the huge crowd needing parking mandates a move to the American Legion Hall in downtown Brevard at 55 E. Jordan St.
All Heritage Day plans, including the programs, exhibits, and the heritage entertainment, will go on as publicized in the new location that will afford much more space and a far more enjoyable day for everyone attending.
Historical displays honoring the founding families are expanding rapidly. Currently, almost 60 pioneer families are to be honored, and more displays are expected to be committed within the next week.
