James Peak SMALLWOOD and his wife Eliza HEMMING sailed from Birmingham to New Zealand in 1864 with their four children Eliza, Mary Jane, James & Emily. Eliza married Andrew GRANT and they settled in Napier, NZ. They had two sons - Charles Oswald GRANT who died aged 4yrs and Bertram James GRANT who was born in 1877. Mary Jane married Edward Woodgate STRATFORD in Auckland NZ Emily married Thomas EYRE in 1884. They had two children -Daughter Lottie b. 1888 who married Walter John STABLES in 1909, and a son Thomas Edwards EYRE b. 1886 who married Agnes Helen BLAIR in 1917 I would like to hear from anyone researching this line.
