It turns out Alfred Fraser was born in England in 1859, the son of Francis Humphris Fraser and Emma Earl Triance. The family immigrated on the WILD DUCK 1864-1865. The eldest son was Frank Triance Fraser who married Mary Maria Trask. Another son was Captain Robert Fraser, formerly of the New Zealand Shipping Company's service who married Gertrude Penty.
