Matthew Nowland b. 1819 & brother John b. 1821 Nowland born in Co. Wicklow Irl,arrived Sydney in 1841. Matthew settled in the Hawkesbury and John at Palmers Island in New South Wales. They were the sons of Martin and Bridget Nowland from Rathsallagh Co. Wicklow
