We are looking for descendants of John Ovens (my great-great-grandfather). He was born in Ireland, possibly County Donegal about 1809. John emigrated to Jersey City, New Jersey (prior to 1842)and lived there for a short time before settling in Toronto, Canada with his wife Jane (Wakefield) and their six children: Eliza, Fanny, Robert and Matilda (twins), Jane and Edward. John and Jane founded a "fancy goods establishment" in Toronto around 1850 which was still in operation in 1927. We would appreciate hearing from any descendants or anyone who can provide information. Thank you, Lisa Jones
