Parliaments expelling of Thomas Pegge (Catherines father) in 1646 - believed to be after the siege of Ashby de la Zouch.

Die Lunæ, 18 ; Maii, 1646.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do grant a Pass unto Colonel Henry Hastings, Sir Augustine Cokayne, Edward Stanford Esquire, and Richard Ashley Gentleman; and unto Thomas Pegge, Thomas Porter, John Dankes, Henry Shawell, William Gibson, Francis Eaton, Thomas Wakelin, William Taylor, John Pike, and Ralph Garrett; their or some of their Servants; and for Sixteen Horses and Geldings; and for a proportionable Number of Arms for so many Horses and Men; and Monies, not exceeding the Sum of Three hundred Pounds; to be shipped on board any Ship or Vessel at Dover or Rye, to be transported into any the Parts beyond the Seas: And that all Customers, Comptrollers, and Searchers, and others whom that may concern, do permit and suffer the said Persons, Horses, Arms, and Monies, to be shipped and transported at either of the said Ports accordingly.
