Hi Cheryl, It seems certain that there are no fewer than two direct links between our families. My brother, Mike, is keen on genealogy but is not on the internet yet. He has quite a lot of information that will be of interest to you, and will be new to you. The details you gave also filled in several information gaps he had. Mike has sent me a tree chart and a page full of detailed notes entitled: BROOK FOSTER AND PETTITT FAMILY HISTORY One section in this sheet says: "As can be seen on the family tree chart, there are two Brook Foster/Pettitt connections. Thomas William Brook Foster (born 1851) married Harriett Pettitt (born 1859); and Thomas's sister (who we now know was also named Harriett (born 1852/1853) married Harriett's brother "Percival" (which we had assumed to be "Percy's" real name, but whose real name we now find was Henry (born 1852/1853). We are descended from Thomas and Harriett, and Cheryl is descended from Henry and the other Harriett." I look forward to hearing from you.
