August Pietz was the son of Johann Pietz and Magdalena Seifried. The Pietz family came from Brienne, Bessarabia, Russia. They immigrated to the US in the 1880's. Johann's father was Christian Pietz and His mother was Maria Christina Kuck. Johann was a brother to my Greatgreatgrandmother Karolina Pietz Buchert. If I can be of help let me know !!! Ron
