You can find one version of your "kiss" story on p. 133 in the book, Kith and Kin, written by Mrs. John Russell Sampson, published by The William Byrd Press, Richmond, VA, 1922. I just ran across this story last night and it's the first time I ever heard of it. The book is part of Heritage Quest's online database so you should be able to access it through your public library's web site and print it out at home - I did.
