Hi Harold (and Poile's everywhere!), My Grandfather was Alfred Robert (Bob) Poile, born 1899 in 'the village of Kent' (according to the only document I have seen). He also came to Canada with the Barr colonists, so I am assuming we are fairly closely related. His family rode out west in Red River carts and settled in a 'Soddy' in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He met my Grandmother there and they moved to Edmonton and, eventually, Calgary. I have no information which goes farther back than that, but was thrilled to find the Poile Genealogy webpage.
