Yes, there was more than one child in the family with the same name. Back when these children were christened they were often given the names of their sponsors. Also, if a child had died in infancy a child that was born later was given the name of the deceased child. In all of my paperwork somewhere on the Rectors I have copies of the church records. I will find them and anyone that would like a copy can e-mail me with at lauriebiswell@aol.com and put in the subject line "rector christening records."
