There is more than one Elias Rector, but I can't find the one that matches the one in the goldfields. The only one that might fit would be the son of Samuel. The other potential father would only have been 13 in 1805. Unless of course, the gold field Elias lied about his age and birthplace. I was hoping that maybe this Elias Rector was somehow related to my John Jones born 1834 KY who might be the John Jones living with Mr Rector and Mr Smith in Mariposa in 1850. Does anybody else have any ideas? Thanks for replying.
