I appreciate your information but think the Morgan Rector that came to Texas in 1831 from Alabama might have been a younger person---perhaps a son. Did the Morgan Rector you found live in Alabama? I have been out of Texas the last two weeks and will leave again tomorrow for another two weeks, but will provide any additional information I receive since you are obviously a member of the Rector family.
