Some new information about the above family group--Mary Q. SHOULD read Mary Jane Rector, found another land deed. It this deed clearly stated that she was the daughter of Lawson and granddaughter of Benj. Rector. Another deed clearly stated that Aldridge THOMPSON Edwards was the wife of Ricey E. Rector, sister of above Mary Jane Rector, and he was the son of Elijah Edwards. Perhaps I have already run into Walter and he has escape my notice. Will have to ponder now what I have learned new about the Rector in the present land deeds. I was told years ago that the records in Pr.Wm. Co. VA were destroyed durng the Civil War. Is that true ?
