Bellingham Herald, The (WA) - May 25, 2004 Deceased Name: John B. Redmond John Burton Redmond, age 76, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2004, in the family home after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 6th, 1927 in Worcester, Mass. to John and Rosalie Redmond. He spent his youth on a farm in Connecticut with five siblings. He served two years in the Navy during WWII, worked 35 years in floor covering, retired at the age of 62 and moved to Bellingham, WA. He enjoyed working in his yard, going to Ferndale Senior Center and to his church, L:Light and Life Christian Fellowship in Bellingham. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of 49 years; daughter, Linda and husband Jim Calhoun; two grandchildren, James Chrysler and Cindy and husband John Raske, four great grandchildren and two sisters in California, Rosalie Nagy and Hannah Laister. John was preceded in death by his son, John Redmond on February 13, 1981; his mother and dad; and two younger brothers. A private family memorial will be held in Leavenworth, WA with family at a later date. Please send memorial to Whatcom Hospice, 600 Chestnut, Bellingham, WA 98225.
