Searching for information on James Hicks (Hix) I have him listed on the 1820 Census in Pendleton, SC. However, I also have a James Hicks born abt 1825 in SC and died 1880 in Rabun County, GA. His mother is listed as Barsheba born abt 1770 with no information on her whatsoever. Nor do I have her husband's name. James married Sarena Hedden 1825-1850 daughter of Joseph J. Hedden and E. Nicholson. James and Sarena had one son, William D. Hicks (my husband's great grandfather). After Sarena died abt. 1850, James married Dicey Queen and had Mary C., Hannah C, Sarah L., Henry M. and Sampson M. Hicks. Any information on James ancestors, siblings, etc. or on his mother Barsheba would be most appreciated. Carolyn Pace
