I am looking for the a source that connects Basil Smith (who was born on May 1, 1772, in the Pendleton District South Carolina) and Amelia Clark (born June 12, 1773 in Virginia) and Joseph Smith (born December 19, 1814 in Pickens County, SC and died on May 25, 1900 in Pickens County South Carolina). I think Basil Smith and Amelia Clark are the parents of Joseph Smith, but I have no proof of this. Any help in finding a source or where to look would be appreciated.
