I'm looking for information on John Samuel Smith or John M. Smith as he was know in the military born 1823 in Pickens, South Carolina. He moved to Alabama where he married Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Graves. They lived in Dekalb County Alabama near Lathamville. John died in 1869. Betty was born 1826 in Blount County Alabama and died in 1911. Both are buried in Lathamville Cemetery in Dekalb County, Alabama
