Seeking help to locate obit (newspaper) and cemetery/grave, for my 4 x great maternal grandmother. Her name was Mary. "Polly" (nee HILLMAN) DOLE. She was born 14 May, 1815 in Thurso Quebec and married, John DOLE. A family history sheet states that she died 2 August, 1892, Meckling Clay, South Dakota USA. at 78 yrs of age. The gravestone for her husband John DOLE, buried Thurso Protestant Cemetery, notes where she died also. I am puzzled why she was in South Dakota at time of death, unless a member of the family lived there ? possibly a married daughter? Her husband, preceded her in 1877. Gratefully appreciate help with this request/search. I have been tracing/searching my maternal line for over 10 yrs., but have yet to find this data.
