Found this today on-line at the Charlotte Observer www.charlotte.com: Edith Elizabeth Selvey Price Mrs. Edith Elizabeth Selvey Price, 94, of Huntersville, NC died July 30, 2002 at Huntersville Oaks. Mrs. Price was born in Gaston County to the late Edgar D. Selvey and Nora Michael Selvey. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Price Bailey and a brother, Mr. Edward Selvey. Mrs. Pice is survived by a sister, Jessie Mae Hopkins of Huntersville; nephew, James Hopkins and his wife, Barbara of Cornelius; niece, Patsy Hopkins of Charleston, SC; nieces and nephews, Ray, Diane and Edwina Selvey, all of Tampa, Florida and several other great nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Price will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2002 in the Charlotte Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service, with the Rev. J. Ed Wayland, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to Bethel Presbyterian Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road, Cornelius, North Carolina 28031 or to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements by McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service, Charlotte Chapel.
