Andreas and Maria Catarina Schadt (other listings in book have last name Scheidt when listing him as a sponsor of a child) (Tulpehocken – which had a church community related to the one at Cocalico – home of Caspar Shride) John Jacob b. May, 1755; bap. June 1, 1755. Sponsors Jacob Gicker and wife Maria Catarina. This is from the records of Rev. Stoever. This couple also has a record of the following other children: Maria Catarina, b. June 11, 1756; Samuel, b. March 22, 1758; Anna Elisabetha, b. Sept. 16, 1759; John Michael, b. May 10, 1761; Maria Susanna, b. Nov. 29, 1762. (Since two boys have John as their first name, it is possible this John Jacob was called Jacob).
