Hello, I am looking for information on my Martha Snipes, daughter of James Green Snipes and Letitia Chappell. She was my ggg- grandmother. She was married to Alexander Asbury Goodson in Schley Co. Ga on 1/24/1861. Alexander, along with Martha's brother James, joined the 5th Georgia Infantry in May of that year. Martha gave birth to their only child, James Asbury Goodson, during late September 1861. Alexander died during 1863 and Martha never remarried. She lived with her mother after the War. (I have marriage and census records to prove this.) I am hoping that someone knows where Martha was born and where she is buried. Kindest Regards, Shelley
