My g g grandmother was Elizabeth Snipes who married Milton C. Dunlap. I do not know when she was born or where, but there is an unnamed marker for her in the Dunlap cemetery in Union County, MS. Her daughter, my g grandmother, was Lucinder Florence Dunlap (b. Oct. 1, 1863, d. March 29, 1939) who married Andrew John Motes on March 27, 1893. Elizabeth was found in Union County by a lawyer and given $40 inheritance from a "Burris". The story goes that the lawyer was also an ex-boyfriend, and stayed to drink iced tea under the trees in the yard. If anyone has any information, please contact me.
