Connie,

I assume these were your Stewart’s. I ran across them on the 1880 census for Pike Township, Stoddard County, Missouri, while rooting around for Ramsey and Ashabranner/Asherbranner connections in southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas:

Henry ASHERBRANNER, Self, Married, Male, White, 31, b. MO, Farmer, Father b. MO, Mother b. MO
Lucretia ASHERBRANNER, Wife, Married, Female, White, 28, b. AL, Keeping House, Father b. AL, Mother b. AL
Roxa A. ASHERBRANNER, Dau., Single, Female, White, 8, b. MO, Father b. MO, Mother b. AL
Mary M. ASHERBRANNER, Dau., Single, Female, White, 6, b. MO, Father b. MO, Mother b. AL
Isabel ASHERBRANNER, Dau., Single, Female, White, 2, b. MO, Father b. MO, Mother b. AL
P. WATTS, Cousin, Single, Female, White, 17, b. AL, Helps in House, Father b. AL, Mother b. AL
George STEWART, BroL, Male, White, 15, b. MO, Works on Farm, Father b. AL, Mother b. AL
Columbus STEWART, BroL, Single, Male, White, 13, b. MO, Works on Farm, Father b. AL, Mother b. AL

I assume Henry Asherbranner’s wife Lucretia was Lucretia (Stewart) Asherbranner and that George, Columbus, and Andrew Stewart were her brothers.

I don’t know if P. Watts was a cousin of Henry Asherbranner or Lucretia (Stewart) Asherbranner, as there were Alabama Ashabranner/Asherbranner’s too.

There were other Stewart-headed households nearby, plus other households with at least one Stewart resident, but I didn’t see any more Alabama Stewart's.

Regards,

Clete
