The only time I have James is on the 1860 Franklin Co, AL Census, page 777. This could be your James. I didn't follow the family further. I may have more on them in some of my research, but I can't locate it at this time. Isaac A. Sumners 35 farmer AL Ellen 32 AL W. D. 14 AL Sarah E. 12 AL Anna E. 10 AL Nancy J. 8 AL S. (male) 5 AL James 3 AL Ellen was the daughter of Nancy Maroney and Ransom Davis. Ellen was born 20 Dec 1825/1829? in Bibb Co., AL and died 20 Mar 1870 in Franklin Co, AL. Her parents were married in Shelby Co, AL and died in Mississippi, I think perhaps in Tishomingo. If I come across more info I will post it here. Sharron
