Pat, When Gladys called me last Thursday, she gave me her telephone number and address. Our conversation was very pleasant and she gave me some Tapscott family history. It is very kind of you to help her in looking up her ancestors. In searching for ancestors, we all need as much help as possible. I really appreciate your sending me Tapscott information which Gladys relayed to you. I am going to do some research tonight and keep your fingers crossed that I turn up something. What areas have you searched so that I won't be searching the same records? If I do discover anything, I want to send Gladys the information along with a picture of Uncle Porter. Maybe his picture will stir a memory with her or with her Aunt Lois in Nashville. Gladys told me that her father, Howard, died in New York City and was buried on Staten Island. When did he die? Pat, please don't worry about sharing information with me. I mean no harm to Gladys or her family. I would just like to find out more about how my Uncle Porter was connected to Aunt Reba. Do you think Gladys has a picture of Aunt Reba that she might send me? I would really like to have one. If I haven't given you my address before, it is: Tommy J. Waldrop, 621 9th Court, South Birmingham, AL 35205. My home telephone number is 205-252-4437. Pat, thanks again for the information about Aunt Reba. I would like to read some of her poems sometime. Until we "talk" again, Tommy |
