Need help finding Houston Long's father's name.

Houston, my great grandfather, also went by Hoston, Huse, Hugh, and Hughes. Any help from a family member, book, family bible, family histoy, suggestions on how to find new info, any thing would be helpful.

1910 and 1920 census records show Houston was born in 1864 or 1867, most written records show 1867.

No written records on Houston, census or other wise, until he was married in 1890, in Blount Co. Tn, to Laura Bell Dockery. He next shows up in the 1910 census living with the Albert Cate family, they may be kin. I have looked on line and cannot find a connection to the Albert Cate family.

Houston moved to Knoxville, and is found in the 1920 census living in Knoxville Tn. Before he died on Oct. 12, 1932 he worked in factories, as foreman of a rosd buiding crew, and maybe on the railrosd. He was buired in Knoxville at Lynnhurst Cemt. There is no death cert. for Houston, I have tried the state records in Nashville Tn and the records at the East Tn Historical Society.

Laura Bell Dockery was born in Sevier Co. Tn according to her death cert. Her family later moved to Blount Co Tn, from Sevier Co, her father was George Dockery, mother Margaret was a Dockery before she married George. Her sisters were Amanda McClanahan, Jane Worley, Margaret Melson, and Ronda, brothers were George and John. This family shows up in only one census in Blount Co. Tn.

Houston and Larua's children are
Jesse Long b/1893
George b/1895
Belulh b/1897
Ida Maud b/1902
Alvin b/1906
Mary b/1908
Nu Jean b/1914
Three more children died at brith, and one more died at three days, name H.L. Long buired at Third Creek Cemt. Knoxville Tn

The only connection I have to any other Long is a Thomas Long who signed Houston and Laura's marriage cert. in 1890. I am in the process of trying to find this Thomas.
I think Houston may have been from Sevier, Blount, Grainger, or Anderson Co.

If you can help in any way I would be thankful
