My mother's family is from Missouri and Tennessee. Mom said that sometimes they got to visit family members across the Mississippi River in Dyer County, (possibly Dyersburg) Tennessee, too. So, there are probably ancestors there, as well as Missouri. I vaguely remember her mentioning being from rural Pemiscot County Missouri, near the towns of Cooter, Steele and Caruthersville Missouri being near where she grew up nearly a century ago. Mom's name was Oma Richie, b: 1911, her mother was Donna Vera Hayes and her father was John Dee Richie. Oma had brothers name Ben Crawley Richie, George M. Richie, Curtis Eual...who was known as "Bug" and sister named Cara Richie. Donna Vera Hayes' parents were Charlie Hayes and ? Wilson. That's all I currently know about my mother's ancestors...and I would like to know a lot more. Thanks in advance for any help you might be on providing info that would allow me to start to trace my roots!!!! Bill Collins
