Various trees have the following information: Shadrach Hicks b c 1775 Rockingham Co, VA; died Jul 1846 McMinn Co, TN Elizabeth Nash b c 1774 in VA; died 1846 McMinn Co, TN married 13 Mar 1799 Orange Co, VA Children: Rutha J Hicks – b Dec 1799 Asberry Hicks – b 1801 in VA Meredith Hicks – b c 1804 in VA George Hicks – b c 1805 in VA Hannah Hicks – b c 1807 Tolbert P – b c 1808 in VA Garrett Hicks – b c 1809 in TN Isaac Hicks – b 29 Mar 1813, Monroe Co, TN Lorenzo Douthet Hicks – b c 1815 in TN John Asberry Hicks – b Jan 1817 in TN Mahala Hicks – b 1820 Does anyone have an actual source or record that lists the various children, in particular, Hannah Hicks? I would like to prove the Hannah Hicks b c 1807 was the daughter of Shadrach Hicks. Some trees have the spouse of Hannah Hicks as William Malone. Sistler’s book on Early E TN Marriages lists the marriage of Hannah Hicks and William Malone as 7 Jan 1858 in McMinn Co, or when Hannah was 51 years old. Probably the Hannah Hicks that married William Malone was a different Hannah Hicks, perhaps the first wife (divorced) of Lorenzo Douthet Hicks, who also would have the name of Hannah Hicks. Perhaps the Hannah Hicks b c 1807 could be the Hannah Hicks that married Abraham Fox. This family also lived in the Boyd’s Creek area of Sevier County in 1830. I would appreciate any information that would help resolve this theory.
