There is an article on George Long Family in the McMinn County Heritage Book that was submitted by Betty P. Corliss from Rossville, GA. This book was published in 1997 so she may not have the same address. But I will share the address given if you will email me privately. masonms@bellsouth.net The article states that George Long was born 1771 in Virginia and was the son of John and Mary. His grandparents were John and Anna Long. George was married in Pittsylvania County, (not sure if that is in VA or not) 1791 to Elizabeth Nancy Maples.
