I have a Joseph Bivins, son of Nathaniel (1775-1849) and Sarah (1779) Bivins, born abt 1810 perhaps in North Carolina. His siblings are: Elsberry, Abbie, Sallie and William. This family was living in McMinn Co., TN by 1830. Looking for a spouse for this Joseph. I found a Joseph Bivins in the 1850 Polk Co., Tennessee census, age 33, born about 1817 in North Carolina. He was married to Tabitha (last name unknown to me) born about 1818 in Tennessee and married about 1836 in Tennessee. They had the following children: William (1837), Mary A. (1840) and Sarah (1844). I don't have parents for this 2nd Joseph (1817). Seven years is a big spread (1810 vs 1817), but I guess I am wondering if it is a good possibility that Joseph born in 1817 and married to Tabitha is the same person as Joseph (1810) child of Nathaniel and Sarah Bivins. ?
