For anyone who has been researching the family of Col Wilson L Duggan and his descendants, of which I am one, I have recently come across the will of James Everett who moved to Sevier Co, TN and then to Yazoo County, MS. There evidently has been some doubt that Simeon Duggan who is the oldest son of Wilson L Duggan and Elizabeth Keeler had married Emiline (Emeline) Everett, who was a daughter of James Everett and Judith Jernigan. I received the copy of the will from another Everett descendant a few years ago, but did not get to transcribe it until yesterday. I will only post the portion of the will that deals with Emeline here, but will send my full transcription to anyone who would like it. "Last Will and Testament Of James Everett Item 3rd, I give and bequeath to the children of my (Deacd?) daughter Emiline Duggan one childs portion to be divided amongst them. To my son W. C Everett, to my son H. F. Everett, to my son J. B. Everett, to my son R. M? Everett, to my son H. W. Everett and to my daughter Agnes Ann Clark. To each of them an equal share of all the rest and residue of my Estate either ___ personal or mixed." The will is witnessed and dated 17 October, 1871.
