looking for info on JOHN JAMES b. abt 1800 York Co. SC died after 1860 Jones Cove, Sevier Co. Tn,. married Martha ? b. abt. 1804 Tn. d. after 1850 Tn.They married about 1822 in Cocke Co. Tn. children: 1.Dovie 1831---John Layman 2.Marion 1832 3.William 1833---Sarah ? 4.Nancy 1837 5.Samantha 1839 6.Lewis 1842 7.Matilda 1845 tn 1907 al---James Spurgeon 8.Huldy 1848 9.Sydnia 1848 after the death of Martha, Matilda was raised by a Breeden family and Sydnia by a Lee family. Matilda & James Spurgeon were my g-grand parents. I would appreciate any info about any of these people. |
