State of No. Carolina Washington County. No. 10. Feby. 25th 1778. To the surveyor of said County, Greeting. You are hereby reqd. to measure and lay off according to law three hundred and forty acres of land for Thomas Stockdon on French Broad River beginning at the mouth of the spring branch runing up the river fornent the upper end of the big Island sd. land entd. per Jesse Been and transferd. to said Thos.
