I found this interesting thread and hope some of you are still around. I come from the Benjamin Cunningham (1797 - 1849 Nails Creek)line and have for years been trying to figure out who his parents were. I have contradictory information that he was either born in Monroe, TN or Guilford, NC. I have always had a suspicion that he is somehow related to Miles, John and Jessie. I was really excited when I saw so many familiar names but that was dashed with Carl's correction of the jumbled families. Wiley Hamilton Cunningham who married Sarah Brakebill (my 2nd GGP) had sons with the names Oliver Perry Cunningham William Harvey Cunningham Benjamin J. Cunningham John F. Cunningham Benjamin, Sr married Sarah Kirkpatrick in Blount County in 1818 and I found him purchasing land around this date but for the life of me I can't find where he came from. Anyone have any pointers - I don't even mind a good rumor. Jim
