My farthest back Montgomery is Samuel Montgomery of Haywood and Tipton Counties who married Minerva Jane Long in Fayette County in 1855. Samuel was born abt. 1829 in Tennessee. His supposed brothers were born in South Carolina. This is my long-time brick wall. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?
